Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate: Are Bigger Editions Worth It?

Most big releases now ship in at least two or three editions, and the price gap between them can be significant. Here's what that extra money usually buys. Standard Edition gets you the full game, nothing held back. Deluxe or Digital Deluxe usually adds a soundtrack, an art book, some cosmetic items, and occasionally a small chunk of early or bonus content. Ultimate or Premium editions typically bundle the season pass or expansion content on top of everything in Deluxe. Whether it's worth it comes down to one question: do you know you'll want the expansions anyway? If yes, the Ultimate edition is often cheaper than buying the base game and the season pass separately later. If you're not sure you'll finish the base game, Standard is the safer buy, you can always pick up expansions individually down the line.
