PC or Console: A Simple Way to Decide

The PC versus console debate usually turns into a flame war, but the actual decision is pretty practical once you strip out the tribalism. PC wins on price flexibility. Game keys are almost always cheaper on PC, hardware can be upgraded piece by piece, and storefronts run frequent sales. It also wins on mods, higher frame rates, and backwards compatibility, your library keeps working as you upgrade. Console wins on simplicity. No driver troubleshooting, no compatibility checks, one price for the machine and you're done. It's also the easier way to play couch co-op with friends and family without a second monitor and keyboard. A lot of players end up with both, a console for exclusives and couch gaming, a PC for everything else. If you're only picking one, ask which matters more to you: raw value over time, or zero setup.
