Keeping Track of Your Backlog Without Losing the Plot
Keeping Track of Your Backlog Without Losing the Plot

Anyone who buys games during sales knows the feeling, a library full of titles you were excited about and never actually started. A backlog isn't a failure, but an unmanaged one stops you from enjoying what you already own.
A simple three-list system helps: Playing (one or two games, max), Next Up (a short queue of what you're genuinely excited for), and Someday (everything else, no guilt attached). Reviewing the list once a month, moving one game from Someday to Next Up when you finish something, keeps it manageable without turning gaming into a chore.
It also makes buying decisions easier. Before grabbing another key during a sale, a quick look at Next Up answers the real question: will this actually get played, or is it going straight to Someday?
